About this blog:This site was not developed with the intention of drawing a large number of visitors using trivial methods and shallowness. There is rejoicing among the angels of God over even one sinner that repents and believes in Jesus Christ. (Luke 15:10) If, for as long as this site exists, only one sinner is led to repentance and belief in Christ with the aid of the material presented here, the purpose of this site has been served. |

BUT, if you look at the conversion stories in the book of Acts there was no long drawn out waiting period to call someone part of the church or to be baptized. Discipleship takes time. Conversion doesn't. Let's not go to another man-made idea to add to scripture.
Acts 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
(Acts 10:47-48)"Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have." So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
(Acts 16:30-33)He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" {31} They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." {32} Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. {33} At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized.
