About this blog:

This site was not developed with the intention of drawing a large number of visitors using trivial methods and shallowness. There is rejoicing among the angels when even one sinner repents and believes in Jesus Christ. (Luke 15:10) If, for as long as this site exists, just one sinner is led to repentance and belief in Christ with the aid of the material presented here, the purpose of this site has been served.

to add to what Doug said, the scripture does NOT say those people did those things, it says that those people "said" they did those things.

It was their report, not that of Scripture nor of Jesus.

(Mat 7:22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

srhoyle, read John 11. The high priest prophesied correctly that Jesus would die for the nation. And he was not saved.

Joh 11:49 But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all.
Joh 11:50 Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish."
Joh 11:51 He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,
Joh 11:52 and not for the nation only, but also to gather into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.
Joh 11:53 So from that day on they made plans to put him to death.

Balaam prophesized by the Lord, yet he was never saved.

Jud 1:11 Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished in Korah's rebellion.

Balaam's donkey prophesied. And the donkey was not saved either. Therefore, just because a person prophesy and perform many signs and wonders does not mean that they are saved. If anything, we are told that many will come performing signs and wonders and deceive many.

Never said they were. that is not something i was contending. but in that particular reference, there is no indication\proof that they even did the things they claimed they did.

I was NOT disagreeing with Doug. I was adding to it. AND i am very well aware that supernatural manifestations are not necessarily an indication of a regenerated messenger or of their spiritual maturity.

Look at what these people are saying. "I" did this..."I" did that? What would a genuine believer say?? "Lord I have nothing! Lord I was more sinful than I could possibly understand. Lord I cast my hope upon the blood that was shed for me. Lord I cried out to You for mercy". Do you see the difference??

I know there are many who claim they believe in Christ, but when you show them the true God of the Bible say,"I would never believe in that God,I would never believe in a monster who chooses some an not all"I believe these are the same people that would say,"but Lord,I chose you and had done all these things in your name for you when I didn't have to,I chose you when I could have rejected you,so Lord, you owe me,"
