About this blog:

This site was not developed with the intention of drawing a large number of visitors using trivial methods and shallowness. There is rejoicing among the angels when even one sinner repents and believes in Jesus Christ. (Luke 15:10) If, for as long as this site exists, just one sinner is led to repentance and belief in Christ with the aid of the material presented here, the purpose of this site has been served.

Christianity Will Never Work, But He Never Fails.

      Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Once the Holy Ghost abides in your life, the world has no charm!

What does the world have? It can only offer me death! It's only temporal pleasure, but, you see, unless there is something about us that is not of this earth...

People ought to know when they see you or I that there's something eminating from us which is not natural, but it's supernatural! It's not something I've done in my mind. It's not a philosophy I've accepted. It's a PERSON I've accepted.

Oh, I've heard people say, "Oh, I've tried Christianity, but it doesn't work."
Well, I tell them something else: it never will, either.
      "Well, don't you preach it?"
"No, I don't preach Christianity... I preach Christ."
IT will never work; He never fails.

But He has to get full control of my life. It's not going to the altar and someone whispering in my ear and saying the "Sinner's Prayer." It's staying there until a MIRACLE happens. How in God's name can somebody come to the altar (and expect that to suffice)?

I heard of a meeting the other day that had dozens of young people. Children came forward, teenagers came forward, and a few others, and "Oh, it was such a wonderful meeting! Sixty or seventy were saved!" I don't believe it for a minute. I don't believe one percent were saved! If a man realizes that he's broken the heart of God is he just going to whisper something and shed a tear and go away and be no different? A man that passes from death unto life has a new heart, a new spirit, a new mind, and a new interest! "If any man BE IN Christ," Paul says in 2 Corintians 5, "he is a NEW CREATION." God isn't in the business of patching men up; he's in the business of making men new!
